Recent News

Recent BBC news...

I didn't realise Neil and Russell Crow were actually playing bedroom Gladiators, but I'm sorry to hear about the demise of their five month long affair anyway.

Anyway, the reason I'm here is to complain about what is actually considered 'NEWS' nowadays.

The sex lives and relationships of anybody, whether or not they are Celebrities, Royals or Politicians, is totally bloody irrelevant to anybody else.

Granted, a Royal engagement or Wedding is fair game, or anything the parties involved are happy to announce, but who the hell-wants to know who's s#@gg#ng who?

There is so much that could be newsworthy, and I'm talking about pertinent things such as publishing addresses of recent convicted burglars. Or showing the state of some of our terrible roads rather than telling us about the nightclub antics of a second rate Soap star.

Recent events concerning MP Mark Oaten show the pathetic reasons for publishing this drivel too.
Mr Oaten, who is a married man with two young children, recently employed the services of a male prositute...

So bloody what?

This, in itself, is not a reason to differentiate him from any other candidate. It's not like we employ MP's to visit our houses and offer sexual services, nor do we want to marry them. They are there to undertake the management of local government for the majority of people who elect them.

What the papers don't ever pick up on, is the fact this man is a CHEAT and LIAR.
These qualities should automatically be enough to remove anybody from any position of power, NOT their sexual preferences or perversions.

The simple fact people don't seem to give a toss about the honesty of the people running this country or any other, come to think about it.) all they seem to want is dirt.

I don't think its always been the same, but certainly in my lifetime, there has been a deterioration in reporting standards.

I suppose its a case of catering for the masses, after all, wasn't it Joseph Stalin who said, 'Give the people what they want' and unfortunately, what they want is shit. Before I met my friend now, and I have managed to persuade him to keep on the 'straight and narrow' path of life. He had incurred a couple of stays at her majesty's pleasure, the last being in 1995,nothing really bad a great guy would trust him with my life.

A story he told me, apparently the prisoners had a couple of wing newspapers. That were alternately allotted according to their cell number. Anyway, one day it was his turn and the paper happened to be the 'Telegraph' which he already privately subscribed to. So he immediately offered it to some young guy in the next cell. You can imagine his surprise when the kid refused his offer, stating, 'No fanks mate, that's one a them shit papers wiv no pictures' I think this little anecdote just about sums today papers and news stories
Fek the 'News' it's more like common Gossip now.
