I used to work for an airline, back in the days before every celebrity had their own private jet as it seems many do now. Met tons of celebrities, I won't bore you with the full list but here are some memorable one's.
Michael Jordan-Many times, played poker at his house one night (word to the wise, don't do that! He's VERY good). Nice guy but sort of moody. I actually knew all of the 1990's Chicago Bulls. For the most part, a great group of VERY big men! Robert Plant-really nice down to earth gentleman. Lou Graham (Foreigner lead singer)-met him many times over the years. I used to commute to NYC daily for work and sat next to him a bunch of times. Great guy! Still see him every once in a while. All the members of Bad Company-they throw a GREAT after concert party ( from what I can remember of it). Bill Clinton-Super nice guy! Farrah Fawcett-She was dating my boss for a while. Very nice woman. Barry Manilow-a real jerk. Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart)- great girls! The Grateful Dead (Jerry Garcia days)- Pretty wild group but didn't show a lot of respect for their surroundings, clouds of pot smoke everywhere they went and not the cleanest people I ever met. Anyway, I could go on but after a while I realized they're all people like us with their own sets of accomplishments and problems. I got over being "star struck" pretty quickly and just treated them like I do everyone else. |
