Omega 2534.50 GMT Review
Just got this watch about a week ago and wanted to share some initial impressions. In short... great watch!
I already had a 2254.50 which is similar in size and look. I always liked the sword hands and the 41mm size is perfect for my wrist. So, when I started to look for a relatively inexpensive GMT this seemed like a good choice. The differences from the 2254.50 are as follows: 1. Handy GMT function. Love the red hand and red GMT script on the dial. 2. Bezel is the 24 hour bezel and is split into black (for the night time hours) and silver (for the day time hours). Some find this too flashy. I quite like it. 3. No helium escape valve. 4. Wears a bit higher on the wrist (not as bad as some... but clearly a thicker watch than my 2254.50). 5. Great "50th Anniversary" inscription on the case back. Got lots of compliments on the watch to date (likely because of the flashy bezel). Keeping time to a consistent -4 sec per day. Not one you see in the wild often but I have seen lots of minty ones come up for sale over the last couple months. I was able to get a nice head only example from Scott Grossman. |
