Rolex 4768 movement funky? Original?

This movement below gives me pause due to the shape of the Rolex signed bridge, the lack of shock absorber on balance, the crude 'R' for Valjoux. From an early watch but I haven't seen other movements from the 4768 caliber that look like this one. Cobbled together? Some parts replaced? Thoughts? It is not mine but am interested in it. I realize pictures aren't great.
