Great White set, in from the wild
Good afternoon gents,
I am very pleased with this Great White Sea-Dweller that came my way recently. It is a Mark 1 dial 1665 that was bought in October 1978 for about £300 by an amateur diver. It comes from a most interesting batch, with a case number fewer than forty away from the famous Double Red with Comex / Royal Navy provenance that I have written about here previously. Always a relief to find punched papers that match : If you didn't catch it, here is the link to my story of its DRSD brother from the same batch, a treasure in my collection even if not the most valuable I own on paper : http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=327534 I shall enjoy photographing this new one when the brighter mornings return.... With kind regards, Haywood Milton, UK |
