No, not ignoring it, but the display piece usually is not for sale at all unless it's being discontinued or some such thing. And if it's all beaten up from people sitting on it and kids wiping there noses on the cushions, well then it should be discounted. But Rolex watches don't take a beating like that. They aren't let out for "test drives", they aren't "used" so to speak. So someone has tried it on or picked it up to look at before you. Does that constitute it is now a used watch? In that case I assume you also consider 2nd hand and demand heavy discounts on clothing, produce, and shoes. Have you never left the shoe store with a pair of shoes at the sticker price? Lord knows how many feet have been in it before you.

Look, I respect your opinion. I just don't see it that way and I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other.
