Vintage Daytona 6239 in question
I have followed the board for info for the past few years, but need some help on this one. I have bought 2 rolexes from this establishment here in Atl but i worry about this potential purchase. I really wanted some of your thoughts on this if I take the plunge:
http://www.swisswatchexpo.com/watche...teel-6239-9301 Concern #1: they state the year is a 1962, but the serial number puts it at a 1967. They ought to know this, but they don't have papers Concern #2: the dial shouldn't say Daytona on a 1967. Am I correct? So I'm worried about the value going forward if it's not an original dial Concern #3: the bezel. Just like the dial, it doesn't appear to be original. Is it going to be very hard to resell? (assuming I could ever part with such an amazing timepiece) Concern #4: could i ever find a good matching stainless oyster bracelet? For under $5K? Just wanted to see what you pros thought |
