Gilt Sub for JLC Deepsea

So this may be a stupid question considering the forum, but think everyone on here must be a fan of all watches.

I have a JLC Deepsea Alarm that I bought new in Jan14 and haven't worn a huge amount as have grown more fond of Vintage Rolex (currently have 69' 1675 and 79' Snowflake) and have always loved Subs.

I now have the chance to swap it for a gilt 5513 and am wondering, whilst I will wear the Sub more, am I giving up something a little less ubiquitous for something which design wise at least is everywhere?

Would love to know thoughts...

Here's the Gilt when I tried it on (sorry blurry picture)

Here's JLC
