Getting the perfect fit on your contemporary Tudor bracelet
Hello Everyone,
This is my 1st post here, after I have been frequenting for a while. I figured, as I introduce myself, I might as well make it informative. You see, I recently acquired the following Tudor: I was having a bit of a hard time getting the "perfect" fit. I had similar issues with my Pelagos, but there was nothing I could do with that one, due to the complex extension system. This one on the other had, I did this: Notice I removed the original link that attaches to the clasp and passed the spring-pin directly through a regular link? In order to keep the bracelet centered, I cut 2 plastic pieces from the tail end of a bic pen refill. Like this: This has given me the extra 1mm of play I needed to make it perfect. This will work on any Tudor Grantour, Black Bay, Heritage Chrono and even the new Ranger. I have even done this to a Fortis B42 Chrono, bypassing the silly diver's extension and an older (90's) Brelting Avenger Chrono, doing the same thing. I know it does not sound like much, but I hate it when a bracelet is either too short or too long. While I could have likely lived with it, I much prefer my modification. It now fits like a glove and it has enhanced my enjoyment. Hope this helps some of you, Marc Time2watch |
