i agree, and that's my point. the X5M is more or less a modern 2006 X5 4.8i with M sport package. the X5M is an amazing SUV, but not an M car... its not even a car. i understand that wasn't the premis of the main talking point but, its a thorn in my side.

I can see your comparison with the old x5m with a X5 4.8 or even the current X5 50 but not the new X5M. The new model has a completely different transmission, engine, and suspension compared to the regular X5.

The current X5/6M is the quickest and most powerful BMW made right now. The ring times of the current X6M are similar to the previous E92 M3. That is an incredible accomplishment considering the weight and high center of gravity
