The unthinkable is happening
For those who know me and follow my posts you know that I incredibly love my Patek 5712, well I still love it a lot, but I can honestly say that I love as much or even a little bit more my ceramic diver, I have been in Ukraine for 1 month, in Odessa, not where the civil war is raging, and took both of them, and clearly I wear much more my diver, maybe 70/30, never imagined that I would love this watch so much, but it's a truly awesome piece, and I've always wanted a ceramic watch, almost bought a Pam 335 a few years ago but went with a 233 "dot" dial instead, as much as I liked the Pam before it is in no way in the same league as the AP IMO.
So thanks to all the enablers, Benlee in particular who posted many pics of his ceramic diver, and all the others who posted as well pics of this model, as much as I prefer the Nautilus models to the RO models, well except for the RG pieces, love the RG Jumbo and RG skeleton, but clearly prefer the PP SS models to the AP RO SS models, I incredibly love the ROO pieces, would love AP to make a 42mm RG with ceramic bezel, especially a diver, that would make me a perfect trio, crossing my fingers ... If anyone is hesitating buying the ceramic diver, black or white, go for it, incredibly cool and comfortable watch By the way can't believe how AP titanium is scratch resistant, my buckle after 2 months doesn't have the slightest scratch, incredible when you think of Pam Ti which scratches like butter, but like Paul told me here the Pams use grade 1 Ti when AP uses grade 5, you can really see there is a HUGE difference |
