Too many options!

Guys, I'm looking for a bit of input from the masses here as to some options rattling around in my head. I've been offloading quite a few watches over the last few months with the idea of consolidating into one or two "chunkier" acquisitions.

That process has nearly run its course and I'm down to a few options that are pulling me this way and that...

Option 1 - Platona - the Daddy of the Rolex range IMO. Stunning watch and the bracelet and robustness of it mean it can be worn every day. Downside is that you can have a steel one, which is not as nice but still... for £8,250 (plus premium). So its a lot of money for the material and nicer (imo) colour scheme, plus the exclusivity.


Option 2 - 5960P - I've loved the 5960P for a long time. It has the Patek brand/mystique, has more complications and I think it's a beautiful piece. Downside is that it is less usable (leather) and service costs will be greater (and likely required more often).


Option 3 - Rose Gold DD40 and pocket the difference for whatever pops up on my radar next - I love the DD40 in RG and think it is stunning on the anniversary green dial. It is a timeless classic. Downside is also related to its looks. It is too flash for me to wear every day, so would be solely weekends and holidays. Also, I can't help but think the RG is not the perfect colour for my pasty Scottish skin tone!


Ultimately I'm going to have to make this decision myself but I'm throwing it open to the floor to see if anyone has any thoughts that tip me one way or the other.
