Can Chromalight Lume grey over time?

Does anyone know if the Lume on the more recent models can grey over time?
Some of my markers seem to have grey darker areas to them, more so in the centers.
Does anyone know if keeping Lume in a pitch black place such as a safe has an adverse affect on such?
Random Friday question I know, but the mind has been wondering.
Any info or how this Lume can react over time would be massively appreciated.
