Buying a watch is about the story. So I'm asking if people would even know it's an L series based on the dial looking like its a E, X, or N series. There is nothing that says this is an L series by just looking at it so I'm trying to get a sense of whether it's worth it.

Get off your high horse. Don't try to be a watch snob.
