With Rolex, it's more likely that one will see a reasonable resale value or even a positive return on investment with a SS sports model.
Not so with PM Rolex.
All my AD purchased PM Rolexes would net me a profit if sold today. It's just a question of buying ANY watch at the right price.

Some of the most expensive Patek watches ever sold are steel like the (most expensive wristwatch) 5016a or 1591.
