Just got this DJ 1603
1967 1603- it arrived today... very clean, much better in person. In fact, the dial and bezel are so clean it almost makes me suspicious. I believe the crystal has been changed, it is perfect, acrylic. The bracelet is stretched to the max, but doesn't fit, maybe shy one link to fit. So I have it on an aftermarket jubilee right now.
I've had some difficulty getting good fitting aftermarket jubilee links for my other DJ... any suggestions? This one hacks. My DJ 1601, same age, does not. Any explanation? For a moment the bracelet concerned me. I recall discussion on the forum about the extra crown on the clasp meaning it's a counterfeit. I immediately reported this to the seller and he pointed out other threads refuting that. I think it's legit. I didn't have my watch guy open it up. I didn't feel any need to, I had a good feeling about the watch and am monitoring it's accuracy. But I think I will have him take a look under the hood. Here's some pics... I like it a whole lot. Was hot for a two tone... |
