My new Sub LV-C, and musings on 5-digit vs. 6-digit references

Just picked up the 116610LV, affectionately called the Hulk by many around here (not my favorite name, but I'll guess I'll have to get used to it!). When I first saw this watch in pictures, it did nothing for me and wondered why anyone would want such a...green watch. While on the hunt for what I thought was my next piece, the Datejust II, an AD happened to have the LV-C. It was love at first sight. I knew I had to have it, but waited about 6 months before pulling the trigger. Absolutely in love with it; truly a beautiful piece.

As an owner of a 16710, I must say comfort-wise, there is no match. The 5-digit reference just sits on my wrist better, it's lighter and the shape seems better proportioned than the 6-digit. So for me, if it was between my GMT vs. a 6-digit, I'd have to go with the older version. But with the beauty of the green dial of the LV-C, it makes it a very difficult choice between the 16710 and the 116610LV. Luckily, I get to keep both!
