My TRF Experience with my first Rolex purchase
Before I tell my story I would like to thank every single TRF member for their comments (good and bad) on all of my threads. Each day I read and post on TRF I not only learn about the Rolex brand but I also appreciate the many life stories shared on this wonder forum. With that being said I would like to tell you about my story with this wonder piece of engineering.
I original went to my AD to buy my first Rolex and I was 99% sure it was going to be a DSSD, but like many others who have seen it in person, its quite enormous if you are an normal sized person like me. At this point I was disappointed because my dream Rolex never looked "proper" sitting on my 6.75" wrist I was fortunate enough (2 days after trying the DSSD) to get a call from my AD to purchase an M series Daytona. Looking back on this now, I feel I may have jumped the gun because I didn't think of giving some wrist-time for the Submariner, Explorer, or GMTIIc. I've read so many threads about how the the Daytona was the Holy Grail of Rolexes due to its rarity and ever increasing value and this was ultimately the reason why I purchased the Daytona. Granted I won't be flipping the Daytona I felt that my purchase was more logical than emotional. Well, thanks for reading guys and I would like to hear some of you comments. |
