Malfunctions Void All Plays and Pays

OK. By now 99% of you have either seen, read or heard about this incident. Some woman won $43M on a slot machine at the Resorts World Casino in NY and the proprietors offered her $2.25 and a complimentary steak dinner in lieu of the pay-off citing a slot machine malfunction. The state Gaming Commission has also dismissed the win as the machine displays a sign stating “Malfunctions void all pays and plays.”

This case will obviously be going to court. If you won $43M on a slot machine only to be told by the gaming resort that the machine was malfunctioning would you settle for a free steak dinner and $2.25 in cash?
