Advice Needed - Golf Cart Purchase

I have been studying up very hard, but I was hoping a few of the members have some info to help me out.

This cart will be used for cruising around the neighborhood, going back and forth to the pool, riding down to the fishing pond in the neighborhood, occasional beach trip, etc.

I have narrowed it down to Yamaha (because I love everything Yamaha makes) and Club Car because the aluminum frame receives great reviews. I have ruled out E-Z-Go as the reviews are terrible.

I need help deciding between electric and gas. Gas seems to have better reviews with the hills (neighborhood has several), but I will be spending $5-20 month for gas. Batteries have almost zero weekly/monthly cost, but when the batteries are gone it will cost me $600-700. I think I prefer purchasing $10 gas month vs the lump sum pricing of batteries, but I was hoping y'all have some more info to sway me!
