Spotted in the wild today

I met with a client today who was the proud owner of this beauty. After we had discussed what he came in for, I mentioned his watch. He shared with me that he purchased the watch new in the Caribbean in the early 70s for about $700. He then used it as his work watch for 25+ years as a commercial airline pilot.

He still has the full set of box, papers, tags, and original bill of sale. He recalled personally having it taken to be serviced by Rolex in Switzerland.

What an amazing watch. I congratulated him on being the keeper of such history. You could tell in his eyes that he really loves that watch. What a great guy with a great story!
