Watch nicknames

So I walked into a Tudor AD Friday evening, to ask about the new GMT.

The seller told me that I am the second person that asks about that watch, and that’s he’s never seen this before (that people ask about a watch before it is in the display case).

He explained that the other individual stood in front of the Tudor display case (this AD sells other brands as well) and said something along the lines of “Good afternoon, I’m here looking for the new Pepsi watch.”

The seller explains that he was confused, thought the guy was kidding and replied “I’m sorry sir but we don’t sell Pepsi watches.”

He says the gentleman then explained that Pepsi refieres to blue and red, and then they were both on the same page.

He asked me if I’ve ever heard people call a red and blue watch a Pepsi. I explained that online tons of people have agreed on nicknames for certain watches, and tons of people hate nicknames.

I just wanted to share because I thought this was funny!!
