You may get sub not because you have money, but because you want to show up that you have the money! 9k is a respectable, figure but accessible figure ( credit cards, personal loans, etc). Plus, you can always buy a second hand one.. Thus, it is really difficult to assume that the Rolex guy is comfy with money...
