Submariner 14060M dial question
Hi all,
Bit of a random question for my first post - I have noticed something on the dial of my late (random serial) 14060M sub and was wondering if anyone else has seen it. When you catch the face in certain lights it’s possible to see what looks like a dimple in the surface around the centre of the dial, that is to say the area where the hole for the hands is, Almost as if the paint was thinner for the last 1-2mm as it gets towards the hole, or if the dial is recessed slightly to allow for the height of the hand stack. It’s been tricky to photograph as the refection from the crystal mostly seems to make the dial look 100% flat. The best I can do is then pic below where is visible more like a halo. I’m wondering if it’s just a reflection of the crystal back on to the dial or if it’s really there. Has anyone else noticed this? |
