Heathrow T5 - Mixed Signals

Me and my wife regularly travel for work and leisure. I often pop in to Rolex to have a chat (as my wife managed to purchase in May from T5) and see if they have any stock on the off chance.

I must say, today the service was pretty rude. I asked if they have any SS models in stock? Their response was pretty abrupt “no it’s allocation only”. My wife has asked several times saying before and they we only sell to walk in customers as soon as the watch hits the shop.

However in Nov 2018 I was told its allocation only and you’ll have to put your name on a list and you have a good chance as you’re returning customer so I did (for a hulk). They also said email a week before your flight and we will see what we can do. Then my wife emails before she was flying and got no response. When she visited them they said they’ve heard no such thing.

So today I challenged them saying we are getting told different things, sometimes allocation and most times walk in. They stuttered and said the policy changes every week?!

Just wanted to get everyone else’s thoughts on this? I guess they’re just pulling the wool over my eyes and didn’t have any intention to sell to me.... ever.
