New member from Denver, CO. Honestly, I never thought I'd purchase a Rolex. I've been wearing smart watches since the Pebble came out, but I've always wanted a "time piece" -- something that would last awhile. I feel like smart watches are designed to go obsolete where-as high end luxury watches are meant to be passed down for generations. My latest watch is the Apple Watch 4 and I don't see me passing that watch down to any one. In fact, I see it being replaced in about a year.
Anyway, I originally wanted to Rolex Explorer but the wait times are over a year here. I put myself on a wait list, but I have doubts that I'll ever get a call. I can see a year coming and going and never getting a call. I ended up getting the Oyster Perpetual 36. I wanted something thats very simple looking that I could wear all the time. Who knows -- if I ever do get a call for the Explorer I, I may still get it. |
