Heading out to get scammed on Craigslist RIGHT NOW!!!
I spotted this ad on Craigslist last night and told them I wanted to meet up. They wanted to meet in an affluent area of Los Altos at a bank. Bank is good.
The ad is suspicious alone. It is a "gift". Then I called the number as I'm getting ready to leave. It went to a text-mail subscriber voice message. Now red flags are screaming. I txted and asked that the owner call me before I head out. They called at it was a girl. I asked if it was her watch. She said it was a gift. I said I was going to have to open the watch up and inspect very diligently before handing over any money. She said that's fine. Says it is authentic. So I'm going. Meeting at a bank. Bringing tools to open the watch. Wish me luck! any other obvious reasons this is a scam??? https://imgur.com/a/GpNeWwg |
