904L used in the new Ball watch?

An interesting move by Ball, their new $2K USD Roadmaster Icebreaker is made of 904L steel and is the focal point of this watch’s marketing angle. This is curiously done after Rolex rebranded as Oystersteel. I thought this material was virtually impossible to work with without serious infrastructure? Wanted to get the TRF community’s thoughts on this.
