Watches of Switzerland UK New Warranty sales tactic!

Hi guys,

I was in Mayfair, London yesterday (and before anyone asks YES it is SAFE!) and I popped into Mappin & Webb after selling a watch to Watchfinder to try on a new Rolex 126233 which is likely going to be my next purchase.

Mappin and Webb are a part of the Watches of Switzerland Group and the sales lady told me that from 3rd June they are now offering an additional 5 year warranty on top of the Rolex 5 year warranty so in effect you get 10 years!

Has anyone bought a watch from the WOS group lately and benefitted from this? Are there any catches for example it needs to be serviced in the fifth year after purchase (even perhaps when it may not need one) etc.
