I think that it is just made in much lower numbers as it is a complication watch. Demand is high, not as high as the SS Daytona, but nevertheless from what I can gather a lot more Daytonas are manufactured.
It is a great watch and a complicated watch, what you can achieve by moving the gold fluted bezel is quite a remarkable achievement. Quote:
