Tudor Perspective: I would've started differently
I began a lust to collect Tudor BB's in May 2019. Seven days later, I put a full payment for the BB58 on June 1st. September 1st (3 months later) it came in.
When they announced the Black Bay Chrono Dark on September 14th, I put down another full payment - but the AD wasn't be allocated one. Many calls to other ADs in Canada, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Japan proved no luck (they either sold out or were not allocated one). I still am hoping/waiting to get a full refund, as they took the payment assuring they will receive one - but haven't yet. All 1181 have already been allocated to ADs, and now they mentioned the watch is on backorder. I will never put down a full payment without confirmation of receiving the watch again. Luckily - I was able to find one in stock - from an AD in Chicago. I am halfway across the country, so I purchased the watch but will not be able to pick it up until I visit Chicago. We're going to New York and Boston, so a two day stop in Chicago will need to be followed Two Tudors in 3 Months. The watch is now in their backroom waiting to be picked up. Definitely grateful I am able to have 2 Tudor's others are having a bit of a challenge getting their hands. That being said - If I was more knowledgeable about Tudors earlier, this is the order I would've purchased the watches: 1 - Tudor Harrods 2 - Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dark 3 - Tudor Bucherer 4 - Tudor 79220N ETA 5 - Tudor Bronze Brown (79250BM) 6 - Tudor BB58 Picture AD sent me of the 79360DK Picture of the 79030N still in the box, waiting for a strap before wearing. |
