Tudor 79190 Submariner Black Dial/Bezel with two Tudor bracelets
This is a reluctant sale but I’m thinning out my collection and this watch needs a new home.
Classic Full Size 40mm Tudor Submariner 79190 in Stainless Steel with Black Matte Dial and Black Bezel Insert on immaculate folded link Tudor 9315 Bracelet with diver’s extension and 380b end links, B63#### series, the original owner purchased the watch in early 1997. This is almost a full set - included are: outer grey and burgundy cardboard box, inner burgundy box, burgundy cushion, burgundy wrap around cloth, plastic wallet containing punched papers etc and the 200m Anchor – case back sticker and hang tags are not present. There is the added possibility of also taking the 78500 solid link bracelet “upgrade” on offer here. When I bought the watch I ordered the solid link bracelet for two reasons, firstly to save the pristine original 9315 folded link bracelet and secondly because the solid link bracelet just felt that bit more modern and secure. I am happy to sell the watch with either or both bracelets, I am open to negotiation on this please message me, note both bracelets come with their own set of 380b end links to suit the 79190 Submariner (as well as other models). Clasp date codes for the bracelets are W12 for the folded link and MA2 for the solid link. The watch head is unmarked and all bevels are sharp, bezel is perfect, the black insert is unmarked and has an intact tritium pearl, serial number and model number engravings between the lugs are crisp and clear. The watch has been serviced recently, however unfortunately I cannot find the documentation, it has most certainly not been overpolished; during the last service I opted to have the crystal replaced as there were some hairline scratches on the original which I decided I couldn’t live with. It keeps excellent time, winds super smooth and the bezel operates exactly as it should. There is one very minor fault, which is only shown in one of the photographs as most were taken a while back, the lume spot fell out of the second hand some time ago, during the last service I asked to see if the spot could be reattached, it turned out that it couldn’t be and I opted to live with it open (the lume spot was removed from inside the watch), to be honest I don’t even notice it’s missing anymore. The hour and minute hands have been replaced (at a service prior to my ownership, this was carried out in July 2010, the service record card is present) and are luminova, the dial has not been replaced and is the original beautiful and unmarked matte black with perfect tritium markers beneath the new sapphire crystal giving an excellent mix of vintage and modern. I have sold on the forum previously however I am not what you would call a grey dealer, I have been a member for over ten years and have many posts, even one from when I first acquired the watch advertised here (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=193191), any research you do will hopefully paint a picture of me being “one of the good guys” which I assure you I am. I would prefer this to be a UK sale as I am not really comfortable sending the watch overseas, however this can be discussed via private message if necessary; but please note that I will not be held responsible for any import duties associated with this sale. Having said that, the watch can be posted from within the USA during the Christmas period 2019/20 (from New Jersey) if this time frame and method is more convenient. Paypal (buyer covers the fees) or bank transfer. I am located in the North East of England and would be willing to meet as long as the journey isn’t the length of the country. £6000 ($7500) with both bracelets mentioned below £5500 ($7000) on original folded link Tudor 9315 bracelet with diver’s extension £5000 ($6500) on solid link Tudor 78500 bracelet with diver’s extension
