Help deciding
Hello all,
Just need some help making a decision on a watch for my wife. I have been wearing a Rolex since before I even met my wife, and she has never expressed a ton of interest in it other than she thinks it’s a pretty watch. She has never been much of one for wrist watches, but has recently expressed interest in an older ladies Rolex Date 6516. The fact that she never really expresses interest in them, and now has found one she likes I feel is significant and would really like to get one for her. I would rather get her a slightly newer reference, but she had expressed interest in this particular one more than others in the past. The one that she showed me she likes I feel is slightly high on the price for what it is as it comes with no box paperwork or history. I looked around a little further for a similar one for a little better price, and ran into one. The one I found is slightly different in the dial and bezel, but in my opinion seems to be a better deal overall as it comes with the box and paperwork. Interestingly enough, the paperwork puts the original purchase in Japan, where I actually met my wife. My dilemma for the past couple of days, is just buy the one she likes? Or buy the one that seems like a better deal overall? The watched I am referencing are below. The one she likes https://www.bobswatches.com/ladies-r...lack-dial.html The one I feel is a better deal and slightly more unique due to the provenance, but different. https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/oyste...-id9346116.htm You all have any opinions or things I may not be taking into account? Having a rough time deciding this one. |
