Superdoc, I applaud you
This and other forums are infected with value and profit only considerations. The day the watch market turns back to normal there are at least 30% less 'watch enthusiasts'. You are not 'in to watches' if you only buy or love what doesn't cost you a dime or could even make you money. You are a speculator. In the PP forum I saw someone post a photo of a watchbox almost full of Nautilus. The rest a few hard to get Rolexes. What a coincidence he only likes watches nobody can get and everybody wants. And then there is the one who managed to buy all the 'hot' pieces and sold them all when the market was at its peak. Super! Well done, as a speculator. Everybody needs to make a living but a watch hobby is so more much fun if you can enjoy a watch for what it is and not for what it brings in. The Nautilus, a rather ugly TV screen watch if observed objectively, has been 'the watch' for the 'connoisseur' for many years. The reasons are there for all to see. Rarity, prestige as in "see what I have and you can't" and of course being a PP doesn't hurt either. If this was a design from any other watch brand and produced in big numbers it would have been discontinued a long time ago.
