1803 Plexi Condition OPINIONS needed

Hello all, I recently received my late grandfather’s 1803 and sent it to my local watch maker to have a leather strap with 18k buckle installed.

During the installation, the diamond bezel was swapped out for the original fluted 18k bezel and the original plexi cracked during removal.

Few weeks later, my local guy says the watch is ready and that he has thrown in a crystal for free.

On inspection under the light I do note multiple scratches on the plexi and I understand that this is probably some spare plexi he had Lying around hence the no charge.

I have attempted to use poly watch to remove the scratches but to no avail.

I am suspecting the scratches maybe on the underside of the plexi.

Would you guys 1.) leave it alone, to match the overall “vintage” look of the whole watch or 2.) Contact my watchmaker and request for a brand new original Rolex plexi?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
