Uh...well...oops?
Hey guys. A while back I posted that I thought I had lost interest in watches. Nothing out there left to get.
To make a long story short, yesterday I went into the next closest big city. An hour away by motorcycle and saw an pre-owned Omega Seamaster 36MM silver dial 2518300. Did a little research and today I own my first Omega. (I think?) I am fine with it being quartz, actually prefer it as I am constantly setting my Rolexes that fall out of the rotation. But bought it mainly because it was too good to pass up. Pre-owned but basically new. Never resized and looks unworn. Bought from a brick and motor store with good reputation. Had the box, manual, and warranty card. Was originally purchased 8-4-05 from another local store. The store that sold me the watch thinks it was a wedding gift that the guy did not want. Out the door for $400 USD. I'm sure it will get worn here and there. Mainly days that I do not feel like wearing a Rolex. I still think the deal was really too good to pass up but... Not sure if I did the right thing. Advice or opinions welcomed. or Smart move or should one of my friends get a nice watch for their next Birthday? Maybe I should just get rid of another of my other watches. Last edited by Mr. K; 26 August 2005 at 10:23 PM.. |
