It has been a while - Incoming Milgauss Z-Blue
Hi Forum,
I realized just today that I've been on this forum for almost ten years as a slow and steady contributor, watch buyer, flipper, enthusiast, vintage/modern fickle person, etc. but I have not bought a new watch in quite some time. I've owned dozens of vintage and modern Rolex watches, with the most recent being a few variants of SubC and my all-time favorite daily wearer being the Sub 1680. This year I celebrate a big milestone at work and also a milestone birthday, so I had been thinking about a new watch. I had something like the BLNR or the Polar Explorer II in my sights, but I made a crazy decision based on the fact that the lightning bolt orange seconds hand on the Milgauss has haunted me for most of the past decade. I decided to pull the trigger on the Z-Blue variation after a lot of reflection. I need a quirky and fun Rolex on my wrist and this one seems to be a bit of a sleeper. If things unfold as I hope, I will share some unboxing and wrist pictures tomorrow. It's thrilling to have this on the immediate radar since the days when I was buying and selling watches almost monthly. Now it's like a 5-10 year thing. Perhaps I'll get back into it some more. Cheers, Eric |
