We finally went back to Japanese because of reliability, dependability, high residual value, low maintenance costs and good old value for hard earned dollar. The german cars are high maintenance after warranty and have high depreciation. If your leasing than that would not be an issue.

For my money, I'd go with the Lexus.

Good point on leasing. Our payment on our fully-loaded 2.0L turbo A4 is actually $60 less per month than it was on our Honda Element.
