Rolex 93150 Submariner bracelet flip clasp repair or replacement bracelet
My Rolex 16570 Explorer II has the optional (at time of sale) Submariner 93150 bracelet fitted to it. In general I’ve been happy with this rattly bracelet but the clasp build quality is terrible. It’s like they used left of scrap tin in comparison to that found on my Omega Seamaster Professional. Over the years I’ve had to gently adjust it with pliers when the clasp stopped holding.
Now though one end of the flip lock has pulled through the rivet that secures it to the bracelet. It looks to me like the weak rivet has bent a bit to in doing its job of holding the clasp and bracelet together. What are my options here? Should a good local independent jeweller or watch maker be able to repair this or would it have to be back to Rolex? Is there any better bracelets that I could replace it with instead? It’s my daily wearer. I want to keep it on a steel bracelet so won’t consider strap options. I would consider non-Rolex bracelets and/or clasps provided that they match up to the curves of the watch case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
