Traditional Games

Serious post....

Is anybody here interested in traditional board games?

I love chess, I am actually awful but I find the thinking and strategys incredibly interesting.

My newest passion is for backgammon. My entire life I wondered how the game with the different coloured points was played until last year when I took it upon myself to buy a couple of books and teach myself the rules and tactics.

Both can be expensive (chess text books cost a fortune alone let alone the price of a nice chess set) so I figured there might be a few members here who might be able to offer any pointers or even set up game via pm.
