Tool watch techincal question-
Is there anything different internally on the sport models that make them "tougher" than say a dressier watch like a DD or DJ. I get the obvious external differences such as the trip lock crown, crown guards etc. I read once that when the Explorer was introduced it owed it's existence to Rolex's continued efforts to improve the waterproof case and shock proofing. I wonder if the tool watches still have more internal shock protection than the others or if they are all at the same level of ruggedness, if for no other reason than for uniformity of production.
