QA. Watch Band Serial Number on Rolex 16710 Pepsi.
After bought my first GMT, a P serial 16710 pepsi, it's just so excited with this beauty and just can't complaint anything about it so far.
But after I look around on the forum and other website, I find something interesting regarding the serial numbers on the watch band/links. Here is some of my findings of the serial number on the watch band/links which bring me some questions hope can get some answers. My 16710 is P series which means it's built in the year of(2000), correct me if I am wrong. I think I find the patterns with the serial numbers locations on the watch band/links. Not sure if it's related to the AUTHENTICITY of the watch tho.. 1) For the 16710 pepsi with T<25 mark(T<25 mark pirture), they have below end links and serial number on different locations, shows as below(red circle) 2) For the 16710 that's built around the year of 2000 and after(P, K serial picture), I found their serial number to be located as below(yellow circle) I've seen the same locations on watches in P, K and other serials.. 3) For the 16710 with NO HOLEs(No Holes picture), I found no serial number(and nothing else) on the watch band/links, show as below(yellow circle) So I'd figure if any watch falls into these different categories, we could see the specific watch band/link serial numbers on different locations. However, when I look into mine P serial 16710(my P serial watch picture), it only shows the serial number on one location which is not identical as what I've seen from other resources. Show as below in yellow circle. I am just wondering if it's something just randomly happens on Rolex watches, or it means the watch band/links on my 16710 is not the authentic one? Appreciate your time reading this posts and look forward to the kind help! |
