Jubilee Dial

I saw a gold jubilee dial on a DJ and loved it but the SA told me that they will discontinue the jubilee dial (dial with "rolex" written all over, she told me that is called the jubilee dial) because it doesn't work correctly. Has anyone else heard that? was she just saying that to try and up sell me?

I am hoping to go the used route and found a great jubilee dial watch, should i stay away?
