It's a tough call for sure. I think it comes down in part to how you treat your watches and how bothered you are by wear and tear. The ceramic bezel on the daytona isn't going to wear like the AP RO. I'm really easy on my stuff and I own an AP 15400 RG on strap and AP 15202. I feel like I get the best of both worlds with those. It's true with people say about the bracelet though, it really is something special. I considered getting the RG bracelet for my 15400, but for the cost I'd probably just put it towards a DD40. I will likely get a rubber strap for my 15400.
The level of finishing on the bracelet is top notch, but in RG it's going to show more wear because of that high level of finishing. Also, I prefer the 15400 to the 15500, you may have better luck finding one of those in the current environment.
