1016 crystal - is this domed?
Hello everyone,
I am the second owner of this Rolex 1016; my brother was the first owner - bought it new in 1986 and gave it to me in 1992. In 2002, I had it serviced by the Rolex rep in Luxembourg. The crystal had a small crack in it, so they replaced it. I can't be sure, but I think that the original crystal was domed. In any case, it was replaced. So, two questions, and I've attached photos. Would the original crystal have been domed? And is the one that's on there now domed? I've been going cross-eyed looking at various photos and I don't know that I can tell the difference... thought I'd reach out to people who see these things all the time. I don't want to ask Rolex to put a domed crystal on there (if they still have them) if it didn't originally have it (or if it's already on there, of course). Many thanks, Clive |
