Different Style Rotor in the Caliber 3126
Hi Everyone, apologies if this is a dumb question or has been answered elsewhere in this forum, but I was not able to find anything.
As a new AP fanatic, I have been looking at my next pickup and I am 90% set on the 26400SO (Royal oak offshore chrono "panda"). I am a big fan of the caliber 3126, but I noticed that AP uses different rotors in the 42mm ROO vs the 44mm ROO. For example, in the 26470OR (the brick), it has a beautiful engraved gold rotor, but in the Panda it's a skeletonized black rotor with AP engraved in the middle. I thought this was a differentiation specifically for 42mm and 44mm ROOs, but the limited edition 44mm 26290IO also has the gold rotor... So my question is, can you special order a gold rotor to swap out the black rotor that comes on the 26400. If so, how do I do this and what would the cost be. The black rotor isn't necessarily a deal-breaker for me, but I like the gold a lot more (it also matches the caliber 3120 in my 15300ST). What do you guys think? |
