Rewarding your long-time staff with Rolex
Hi guys,
I'm been absent for awhile. Partly because of all the negative s**t with a certain virus and partly because I'm been extremely busy. But anyway, I just wanted to share a bit. As many of you know I'm in the restaurant business. Back in 2017 my head chef had been onboard for 10 years. I wanted to celebrate this and the great work he had put in, and he really is a huge part of our (my) success. Much more so than his salary. Long story short I bought him a No-Date Sub. He still wears his Sub daily, and truly treasures it. I'm glad, as he and I have become lifetime friends, and I trust this man with my life. My head chef's childhood friend came onboard a few years later, and he is equally solid in every way. Awesome personality with a great sense of humour (he should really be doing stand-up!) and a soldier in the kitchen. These two gentlemen are my Chef and Sous-Chef. Superb blokes in every way. Today was my Sous-Chefs 10 year anniversary, and we somewhat agreed earlier that the watch for him was an Explorer 2, black dial. I've never been happier to buy a Rolex for someone else than today! The virus is pretty much over, my restaurant is open again and doing great! We're working hard with some restrictions still, but we are (for the moment at least) doing better than before the restrictions. Long story... But I just wanted to share some of the joy with getting a real hard-working man his Rolex. Group shot below of Jani's 14060 (Chef) My 1680 Red Sub and Sami's 16570 (Sous-chef).
