The original came from the color of the bezel. The new one came from the bracelet which some people thought makes the new reference BLNR more feminine and more beautiful. They started to use the nickname Batgirl for the new reference. So what, it's a Beautiful reference, and clever nickname. Both Batman and Batgirl wear similar colored suit, don't they. You think it's unnecessary for some reason, others think it's a clever nickname to easily differentiate the new BLNR from the discontinued BLNR.
