Opinion Question
Hello,
I have the opportunity to purchase a complete set 1961 Rolex GMT 1675 Pepsi with box and papers for $20k. The watch has been in the sellers family since it was bought in the 60’s. The watch does need a replacement piece in the movement but I was told it is nothing severe. I have the model of the piece that’s needed. The watch is all original and the bezel is quite faded. I can buy it for $20k all in. Is this a good buy? Is it likely to fetch more at auction? I found comps that sold for more but I’m afraid what a replacement piece in the movement will do to the value of the watch. Any help is appreciated! |
