Icon19 spring bar vs screw bar strap system

Curious why some Panerai have one or the other system for changing straps?
The BMG series is the only one in submersible line that uses it for some reason.
What do you prefer and why?

I have noticed that when i check my screw bar for the buckle periodically, it needs to be tightened and one time it actually came unscrewed, I caught it before the watch actually fell.
